Sukkar Banat - Caramel: Must See!

Nadine Labaki's feature, Caramel (Sukkar Banat is the Arabic title) is an absolute must see. Look for where it's screening and watch it now!

The script is excellent. The dialog is smart, witty, familiar. The production design is awesome. And you will fall in love with some of the performances. Nadine Labaki directs a first class film at all levels, and it happens to be Arabic. Bravo to her and her entire cast and crew for raising the bar and proving that good Arabic films are actually possible. She worked very hard on it and got the script right to where it needed to be before going into production. The hard work surely paid off.

They've submitted it to the Foreign Category of the 80th Oscars. Nominations will be announced on Jan 22nd. This film deserves to be nominated!
