I hate Facebook.
Really, why?
Had a bad experience.
Like what?
My boyfriend broke up with me on Facebook.
What do you mean?
One day I logged on and saw that he had changed his status to 'no longer in a relationship' with that broken heart icon.
And then?
Nothing.
What do you mean?
Nothing. Never heard from him, never understood.
That was it?
Yup!
Last night I met someone over dinner who went thru this. It was my first human encounter of such a story. I'm so weirded out by it!

dear monkey...did you not hear about that facebook death? the lady in the UK who was separated from her husband, and after declaring a "no longer in a relationship" status, her husband came over at night and butchered her.

People take facebook too seriously. When I see one of those heart broken icons with the "no longer in relationship" I just assume someone is just changing what is displayed on their profile, I generally don't assume they broke up.
Hey monkey, where u been? Yes I did hear abt that Nas, but never met someone in the flesh in these wacky situations. I guess like A Different Perspective, I don't take Facebook seriously on the relationship thing - actually I never notice or pay attention to that... too weird.
there was a story in the news once about divorce by sms but this is so much better
Wwell facebook sucks apart from that fact. That is such a low blow.
