It's a symbol of hope and the dream of a lifetime. It's full of laughter, affection, devotion, desire and adventure. With the taste of absolute love.

Not to sound too much like a pessimist, but the glass is 100 %empty, not even half full :-)
Maybe it is a symbol for something that needs to be filled up. Perhaps like a clean slate, it is something that you can fill up with whatever we want.
Clean slates do not come along very often.
