I guess the Min of Culture has recently discovered some free online translating tool!
If you're not going to bother to get a speaker of the language to write it, why do you feel obliged to run an ad in English?
When the JordanTimes, our English daily, received this ad and booking order, didn't they feel some kind of responsibility to advise the Min of Culture against running it as is... and perhaps even offer help through a copywriter?! Yes pro bono!
How did this pass through everyone along the food chain and actually make it to print?
Absolutely ridiculous! What a joke!

sigh.. I don't get why you need to write three paragraphs in flowery English when "Jordan Festival 2009 Schedule" would have sufficed....
Is it me or does this sound like it was written by Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, or Jordan in this case!
We might have purchased his linguistic/cultural services as a foreign adviser, since it's the fashion these days, or this might be part 2 of the movie without us knowing.

It is sad that such a document was produced in the first place, and even sadder that no one spotted it or even bothered to take action.
